Food Program Lead

The Childcare Food Program Lead is responsible for all preparation, set up and serving of food to the childcare center following all CACFP menus and regulations. Responsible for keeping accurate records of all meals served and documenting children's attendance at each meal. The position will require collaboration with the dietary department and Childcare Director and Assistant Director. May be required to step in as a substitute in the classroom if teacher is absent.

EDUCATION, Experience and TRAINING

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. One or more years of cooking or dining services experience preferred.
3. One year minimum experience in an early childhood setting is preferred, or a strong desire to work with young children may be considered.
4. Free from a conviction or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse.
5. Must complete CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions, Mandatory Reporting, Better Kid Care NSO, and Essentials Child Care Preservice Series in the first three months of employment and 10 contact hours of child related training annually.
6. Valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles, as assigned.
