Foundry Laborer – Part Time

Job Overview

Position: Foundry Laborer
Pay: $18.50/hr ($19.10/hr after 90 days)
Shift Information: Flexible schedules that are set upon acceptance of position (any combination of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts)
Position Description: Responsible for a variety of roles in the foundry including

• Casting Sorter - Picking and sorting of castings. At any time, there could be as many as eight different castings or as few as four coming down the belt
• Blast Machine Operator - Operation of our four blast machines. You will be mechanically blasting castings, scrap, and re-melt items such as runners, gates, and sprues for inspection and machining or to be re-melted in the foundry
• Fork Truck Driver - Positions are responsible for the safe operation of a sit-down forklift. You will have a brief training session then tested using a forklift before learning these job responsibilities
• Grind/Regrind/Saddles - Responsible for removing gate marks and parting lines from castings using a stationary grind wheel
