Job Overview
The University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Admission for the 2025-2026 term, with a potential renewal for 2026-2027.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Campus Visit Coordinator in scheduling campus visits of prospective students and their families
- Visit Coordinator for Saturday Admission Operations
- Answer the university main phone, and transfer to appropriate department/person
- Provide support to the office of admission
- Assist with the social media presence for the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's Mission
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters' program
- Proficient computer skills (Excel spreadsheet, Outlook, Data entry technology, PowerPoint, Word, Internet, Search engines, and social media)
- Flexibility with schedule as need arises (ex. evening or weekend commitments)
- Utilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Ability to work with a variety of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community professionals
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects at a given time
All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week. Additionally, domestic GA's have the option to participate in work-study. Although it may be within a different department from which the GA serves.
