Job Overview
The University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking multiple Graduate Assistants in the Office of Residence Life for the 2025-2026 term, with a potential renewal for 2026-2027.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Office of Residence Life
- Assist with the training and supervision of student staff along with addressing concerns and developmental needs through programming
- Guide and mentor undergraduate students while providing supervision for a residence hall
- Assist with general office support
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's Mission
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters' program
- Flexibility with schedule as need arises (ex. evening or weekend commitments)
- Utilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Ability to work with a variety of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community professionals
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects at a given time
- Proficient computer skills (Excel spreadsheet, Outlook, Data entry technology, PowerPoint, Word, Internet, Search engines, and social media)
All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week. This position is required to live on-campus and, as such, includes an on-campus apartment along with 10 meals per week.
