Job Overview

• Operate grinding equipment such as angle grinders, pedestal grinders, and belt grinders.
• Remove gates, risers, fins, and excess metal from castings.
• Smooth and blend surfaces to meet quality specifications.
• Inspect castings for surface defects and report issues to supervisors.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Keep work area clean and organized according to 5S standards.
• Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE (gloves, face shield, hearing protection, etc.).
• Assist with material handling and movement of castings as needed.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous foundry, manufacturing, or metal finishing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate grinding tools and equipment.
• Ability to read basic work instructions and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
