The MercyOne registered nurse must hold an active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa. A baccalaureate degree in nursing recertification by a nationally recognized nursing organization is required. An applicant must have a minimum of an associate's degree in nursing. The registered nurse continuously seeks opportunities to enhance his or her own professional nursing practice. Membership in an appropriate professional nursing organization is recommended.

Completion of ATCN, ATLS, or TNATC.

Prefer Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or Certification in Flight Nursing (CFRN).

BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. NRP highly desired. Minimum of 3 years of critical care/ED experience. Some flight nursing experience preferred. Computer Proficiency - Demonstrated experience and competency with ability to document patient care in an electronic medical record. Requires ability to use other software to perform the essential functions of the job.

Minimum two (2) years experience as a staff nurse, charge nurse, patient care coordinator, or clinical supervisor. ACLS certification required for full and part-time positions.
