HOUSEKEEPER / ROOM ATTENDANT

Job Overview

The housekeeper is responsible for effectively cleaning the guest rooms and public areas as efficiently as possible and meeting Days Inn timing standards. They are also responsible for maintaning standards of cleanliness to meet company and guests expectations, and meeting guest and management needs and requests promptly and courteously. The ideal candidate MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS. Hours may vary, but must be able to work between 9am and 5pm. 

EXPECTATIONS: 

*Cleaning guest rooms mid-stay and after departure

*Making beds

*Replacing dirty linens and towels

*Restocking guest room amenities like toiletries, drinking glasses, note pads, etc

*Removing garbage/recycling 

*Organizing and stocking housekeeping carts

*Notifying the Maintenance Department about old light bulbs, broken appliances, or damage

*Cleaning public spaces like lobbies, stairways, hallways, etc 

*Upholding the Hotels confidentiality, security standards, and respecting guest privacy

SKILLS REQUIRED: 

Various physical activity such as, but not limited to:

*Push/pull a housekeeping cart

*Stand, walk, or kneel for an extended period of time

*Lift or move heavy objects up to 25lbs like mattresses, chairs, etc 

MUST HAVE STRONG WORK ETHIC AND SOFT SKILLS SUCH AS, but not limited to: 

*Attention to detail

*Team work and collaboration 

*Oranizational skills and time management 

*Listening Skills

*Honesty and integrity 

*High energy levels

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Will recieve on-the-job training!
