Job Overview
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter serves as a first contact for management and candidates for all recruitment activities. This role will be handling at least 70% recruitment efforts and new-hire orientation/onboarding. This position is ideal for someone who has at least 2 to 4 years of talent acquisition background and generalist level experience. In addition, you will:
- Recruitment Functions (70%)
- Collaborate with managers to help with staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies
- Utilize various sourcing methods including job boards, social media, networking, and direct sourcing to engage with potential candidates.
- Establish working relationship with key community and business organization and universities to network potential talent and help brand Hillcrest Family Services as an employer of choice.
- Review resumes and applications, conduct initial screening, assess candidate qualifications against job requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely communication, guidance and support.
- Extend job offers, facilitate the onboarding/orientation process for new hires
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system.
- Generalist Duties (30%)
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues and conducting investigations when necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of information to organization HR functional areas/systems including, but not limited to new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data entry, and documentation of HR transactions.
- Prepare HR-related reports and assist in data analysis as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
Experience:
- 2-4 years recruitment and generalist experience
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coach, support, and influence behavior in a professional and respectful manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)/(UKG HRIS experienced preferred)
Licenses/Certifications:
- Mandatory Reporter of Child/Dependent Adult Abuse Certification or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter required.
