HVAC Technician

Job Overview

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an HVAC Technician for a confidential opportunity with a respected contractor serving Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. This position supports residential and commercial customers through the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems while providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and recommend effective solutions
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes and safety regulations
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time
• Communicate with customers regarding system performance, repairs, and maintenance recommendations
• Assist with training and mentoring apprentice technicians as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC installation, service, or maintenance experience
• Valid driver's license
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and diagnostics
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• EPA certification preferred
• Experience with residential and commercial HVAC systems preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
