Summary:

The Innovation Engineer is responsible for researching, designing and developing new product solutions that effectively meet customer needs and create value for A.Y. McDonald and our customers. 

Responsibilities:

• Research, design and develop product solutions that effectively meet customer needs and create value for A.Y. McDonald and our customers.
• Be a key contributor to company product innovation strategy and solutions.
• Establish effective communication methodology(s) to brainstorm and develop innovative solutions; and track project status.
• Effectively balance and complete multiple projects per company priority schedule.
• Effective model in 3D utilizing Creo-Pro Engineer.
• Design and gather prototypes for Market and functional testing.
• Design and conduct experiments to obtain relevant results.
• Review, interpret, convey and react to results effectively and accurately.
• Contribute to the establishment of performance standards for newly designed or modified products.
• Write initial drafts of patents and assist in the patent review process.
• Other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year College. A proven track record being a creative problem solver is a plus. Working knowledge of PRO-E Creo software. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Must have experience in:

• Working with multiple materials or fields
• 3D modeling
• Ability to research materials and concepts
