The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting, diagnostics, service, repair, and installation of various dock and door equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operation in industrial environments.

What You'll Do
  • Inspections: Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of dock and door equipment to identify issues and recommend solutions. 
  • Diagnostics & Repair: Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system dock levelers, dock seals, dock shelters, and industrial doors. Execute repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance of equipment. 
  • Installation: Install new dock and door equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. 
  • Regulation Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and compliant operations.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with customers, project managers, and other team members to coordinate installations and service calls effectively. Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams regarding equipment operation and maintenance. 
  • Records Management: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations for documentation and billing purposes. 
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by upholding safety protocols and promoting a safety-first culture among all employees.

  • Additional Duties: Perform tasks as assigned to support dynamic changes in business conditions. 
Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, the Installer must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill and ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members. 
  • Proven experience as an installation technician or similar role preferably in the material handling or industrial equipment industry highly desired. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, welding, and basic construction experience. 
  • Ability to work independently, flexible hours, and willingness to travel.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive workplace and safety-first culture.  
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools. 
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test.
  • For DOT regulated driving jobs: Employees must be at least 21 years of age.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
