Intake Operator

Job Overview

• Receive and unload raw milk from tanker trucks and ensure proper transfer into plant storage silos
• Collect and label milk samples for quality testing according to plant procedures
• Verify deliveries using bills of lading and intake documentation
• Monitor milk temperatures, volumes, and flow rates during unloading
• Operate intake pumps, valves, and computerized intake systems
• Record weights, test results, and delivery information accurately in plant systems
• Communicate with truck drivers, quality assurance staff, and production teams regarding incoming loads
• Maintain sanitation standards for intake equipment, hoses, and work areas in accordance with food safety regulations
• Follow all company safety procedures, GMP guidelines, and dairy industry regulations
• Assist with cleaning, sanitation cycles, and general plant support tasks as needed

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an RO Operator or Intake Operator
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, dairy processing, or material handling preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate pumps, valves, and basic processing equipment
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Willingness to follow strict food safety and sanitation procedures
