IT Intern

Job Overview

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The role provides broad exposure across multiple areas of IT—including end-user support, systems administration, networking, hardware/software troubleshooting, programming and business application support. The IT intern will be responsible for or assist in diagnosing and resolving issues related to computer hardware and software, including assigned project work. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

• Troubleshooting basic network and hardware trouble tickets
• Document internal procedures
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Follow helpdesk/desktop support best practices (ITIL-centric) to ensure accurate, timely problem resolution
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of general IT Systems and network concepts, principles, and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in IT (must be completed with second year).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in suit of Microsoft office applications including but not limited to Excel and PowerPoint.
