Location: Dubuque Corporate Office

 

Job Description

Responsibilities include administering and organizing both simple and complex projects and ensuring that are projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.  IT Project Coordinator works closely with the IT Director to prepare and execute comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects.  They will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or Project Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field, or 2-3 years related job experience
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience with Smartsheets is preferred

Job Duties

  • Assess the feasibility of the project and identifies its requirements – resources, assets, capital to be utilized, etc. and analyze the scope, and other factors that would determine the efficiency of the project.
  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information
  • Ensure that the project is proceeding according to established timelines, budgetary constraints, meeting expectations, and adherence to the project scope Provides and ensures proper communication between all parties involved in the project and interacts with users to identify project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Work with Director of IT and other managers, work with and assign tasks to internal/external teams and assist with schedule management
  • Assist in the development of budgets and implement and ensure budget adherence through every stage of the project
  • Analyze risks and opportunities
  • Monitor project progress, working hours, plans and expenditures and resolve issues efficiently as they come up
  • Act as point of contact and communicate project status to all participants by creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Ensure the goals, objectives, and requirements are met or exceeded for each project implementation through conducting quality assurance tests
  • Develop and execute training, rollout plans and implementations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Knowledge of project management and business analysis
  • Ability to assign, review, and evaluate delegated tasks
  • Experience with accounting, forecasting, project tracking, projections and spreadsheet analysis
  • Good decision-making skills and ability to make realistic and rational decisions based on logical assumptions and relevant facts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Presentation and training skills (Power Point experience a plus)
  • Reports and dashboard creation and analysis (Power BI experience a plus)
  • Exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively express ideas or instructions to others
  • Ability to professionally interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload with multiple priorities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in attending to priorities or project adjustments as they arise
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Working knowledge of all business software in retail environment

Physical Demands

Frequent physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, dexterity, and light grasping.   Occasional physical demands include lifting up to 25 lbs., bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs and firmly grasping.  The employee is required to accept incoming calls and must be able to hear and speak.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently.  The associate must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer and other basic office equipment.

 

Work Environment and Working Conditions

This position will be performed inside a climate-controlled office facility.  The noise level is low to medium and typical of an office environment.  Potential hazards include electrical hazards.  Atmospheric conditions are typical of an office environment and may include exposure to odors and dust.
