Your Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting the technology infrastructure platforms and software applications. You'll also recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes. You will assist in supporting IT functions through staff training sessions and providing support for staff.
- Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement
- Demonstrating teamwork and professionalism in all interactions with coworkers
- Keep current with the latest technologies and maintains an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users
- Provide IT support for escalated tickets from Service Desk department
- Serving as backup to Service Desk Specialist as needed
- Identify areas for improvement within infrastructure platforms and software, and providing recommendations, such as hardware replacements or software upgrades
- The Systems Administrator also offers suggestions for IT policies, procedures and best practices for the entire organization
- Manage outside vendor contracts and activities including (but not limited to) managed service provider, phone vendor, and managed print services
- Assist in the design, implementation and testing of various business systems
- Manage server infrastructure, email,, network, internet and other Information Systems related infrastructuresoftware
- Performing other duties as assigned
What You Need
- Associate's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
- Ability to communicate clearly, tactfully, and professionally and establish/maintain good documentation practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
