Laser Machine Operator/Fabricator

Job Overview

Blackrock Fabrication, Inc. has an opening for a Full-time Laser Machine Operator/Fabricator to join our growing Team.

Responsibilities

Set-up of correct cutting parameters and laser operation

Verify that parts are properly loaded and that surfaces are properly prepared for fabricating

Measure and verify that the parts produced meet print specs

Able to lift parts / materials or varying weights onto and out of work area

Safely operate a forklift to handle materials

Follow all safety rules and quality standards.

Maintain equipment to ensure proper working conditions

Perform a variety of other production tasks and assist as required.

Qualifications

Previous laser or similar fabrication or machining work experience not required, willing to train.

Able read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, manufacturing drawings or similar information.

Forklift experience is a plus.

Some physical effort is required which may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
