Job Overview

A growing manufacturing company in Dyersville is seeking a detail-oriented Laser Operator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating laser machines to cut/form/fold materials to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and operate laser machines, adjusting speed, feed, and path of cut for optimal results
• Measure and position materials accurately according to job specifications and ERP instructions
• Select and prepare materials as outlined in manufacturing orders
• Record run times, material usage, and scrap in the M3 ERP system
• Conduct quality checks to ensure final products meet required standards
• Operate overhead/jib cranes and forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods
• Minimize material waste through efficient setup and utilization
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition
• Report discrepancies in machine performance or material to management immediately
• Log job start and finish times accurately in the system
• Keep work area clean and comply with safety procedures and company policies
• Properly use and store tools and equipment
• Perform additional tasks and support other departments as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating laser or CNC machinery preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems (M3 experience is a plus)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
• Forklift and crane operation experience preferred
