Maintenance Worker

Location: Dubuque, IA

Hours:  Part-time days shift, weekend availability required

Job Summary:

A local hotel is seeking a part-time Maintenance Worker to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for basic maintenance tasks, lawn care, small repairs, and helping guests with minor issues to ensure they have a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, and facilities.

• Maintain outdoor areas, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and general landscaping.

• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and proper function of the pool area, including routine chemical checks and upkeep.

• Respond to guest maintenance requests in a friendly and timely manner.

• Assist with general upkeep of hotel grounds, including light painting, changing light bulbs, and fixing small plumbing or electrical issues.

• Work closely with the front desk and housekeeping teams to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Report any major repair needs or safety concerns to the supervisor or management.

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repair tools and techniques

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Must be able to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
