The University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a part-time Mail/Print Room Supervisor.

Position Summary:

The University of Dubuque is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Mail/Print Room Supervisor responsible for accurately receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and packages while providing friendly, responsive customer service to the campus community. This position serves as a key point of contact with external shipping carriers and vendors, coordinating deliveries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong working relationships to ensure timely and reliable service. The role also supports faculty and staff by processing printing requests and ensuring high-quality, timely completion, offering an excellent opportunity for someone who values organization, communication, and dependable service in a collaborative campus environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately weigh and meter mail
  • Sort and distribute mail to appropriate mailboxes
  • Accurately and efficiently fill out certified mailing forms
  • Complete campus print requests in a timely manner
  • Process weekly departmental postage and print charges
  • Maintain post office equipment and order supplies
  • Conduct inventory
  • Balance a register
  • Supervise student workers
  • Assist students, faculty, and staff with mailing questions and services
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's Mission

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and outside vendors
  • Must be an independent worker
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Utilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Follow university policies and privacy standards
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Work flexible shifts
  • Operate postal software and point-of-sale systems

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of mailroom procedures, postal rates, mailing restrictions and equipment is preferred
  • Must have prior experience operating office equipment
