Job Overview

A local organization in the Dubuque area is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to assist with general maintenance and public works support. This role involves hands-on work both indoors and outdoors and supports a variety of projects throughout the year. Equipment operation is required as needed but is not a full-time operating position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facilities and infrastructure
• Assist with seasonal work including snow removal, landscaping, and street maintenance
• Operate equipment as needed (training provided)
• Follow safety standards and properly use PPE at all times
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete assigned tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license required

Schedule:

• Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
• Rotating schedule:
  • Week 1: Monday–Friday
  • Week 2: Monday, off Tuesday, then Wednesday–Saturday
