Manufacturing Engineer (Continuous Improvement focus)

Location: Delaware County, Iowa area

Wage: Up to $80k + full benefits package

A local Northeast Iowa based manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will be part of a collaborative team with a focus on Continuous Improvement. The right fit candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and lead the implementation and maturation of strategic lean processes and continuous improvement projects and lead our manufacturing engineering efforts. This person will serve as a technical resource with whom our leadership team can consult for guidance and assistance with lean related concerns, material routings in our ERP system, basic engineering drawings and prints. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning, the best fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company payroll and receive their robust benefits package.

What you get to do (in a snapshot):

• Identifying and leveraging best practices in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement-related processes
• Evaluating and interpreting both industry requirements and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements with the goal of developing robust XL procedures and instructions.
• Helping site Quality teams and / or senior Quality leadership as subject matter expert (SME) to investigate and correct quality issues and establish continuous improvement opportunities.
• Lead and facilitate installation and implementation of ISO-9001 quality management systems.

What we need from you:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or related field required.
• Lean and or Six-Sigma experience.
• Proven high level of Microsoft Excel skills and design software systems required.
• Ability to build relationships with various levels of leadership and individual contributors and influences culture by leveraging change management skills.
