Your Responsibilities
As Assembly Manufacturing Engineer - PDP (Product Delivery Process) for John Deere located in Dubuque, IA, you will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work to support the enterprise product delivery process in the crawler module. Projects will be of moderate scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process. These responsibilities include:
- Innovating and implementing cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope through EPDP (Enterprise Product Delivery Process) processes. This includes applying electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling, and simulations.
- Coordinating work based upon new model program needs such as facility changes, plan for every part, tooling requirement, design for manufacturing, supporting physical builds and start of production events.
- Establishing routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for new programs of moderate scope.

What Skills You Need
- Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.)
- 1 or more years of experience or knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities
- 1 or more years of experience of database management tools and assembly process management systems
- 1 or more years of integration of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)
- 1 or more years of experience using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
- 1 or more years of experience with capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process
What Makes You Stand Out
- 2 or more years of experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement.
- 2 or more years of experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools
- 2 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality
- 2 or more years of experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering / Technology discipline
