A local Northeast Iowa based manufacturer is growing both in size and in their production abilities and seeking an Operations Manager who will lead and develop a high-performance leadership team of 5 direct reports and 225 indirect reports. This visible leadership position is critical to the success of the manufacturing operations team. The right fit candidate will be a culture champion leading and motivating professionals in setting goals and driving the professional development of your individual team members. The right fit candidate will possess a solid working leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.  

This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning, the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and receive a robust full benefits package. The next career step would Plant Manager in this role.

A snapshot on the responsibilities of the Production Operations Supervisor:

• Establish and lead the day-to-day priorities of the process and employees.
• Ensure safety, production and quality goals are met per the plant business plan.
• Establish and lead the cost control budget for area equipment.
• Mentor team and promote employee development and work responsibilities.
• Demonstrate rigorous drive for continuous improvements in safety, production, compliance, maintenance, housekeeping, employee development/mentorship.
• Provide team communication on company, plant, and department business plan objectives and performance.

What we’d like you to bring to the opportunity:

• Bachelors degree (preferred) and/or equivalent work experience
• 5 to 15 years of manufacturing and or production operations experience in a progressing leadership role.
• A proven successful employee performance management experience
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, ERP systems
