Job Overview
Your Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Assistant will be a student worker attending a local, Dubuque university or college. This position is not intended to be an internship. This position is part of the Work that Works Program with Greater Dubuque. This position will be working closely with the Director of Business Development. Responsibilities include:
- Brand Alignment â Work with all service programs to collect, review, and standardize outreach pamphlets, flyers, and marketing materials that describe services so that we have a clear brand and presence in the communities we serve.
- Communication plan implementation â Help improve outreach and social media messaging and presence. Collaborate for content creation to create a calendar and regular release of information through Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Hillcrest Newsletter â Collect information and generate a monthly newsletter for the agency.
- Collection of and Ongoing Management of Contact Information â Create a âContact Bookâ where we have a contact sheet with all partners, their contact information, and what type of partnership we have for regular communication and easy email blasts.
- Additional duties as assigned.

What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently attending a local university or college in Dubuque, Iowa
- Majoring in Marketing or Business
