Marketing Intern

Job Overview

The marketing intern is responsible for assisting the marketing team to provide relevant and impactful support materials for sales and retail partners. Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of digital marketing and leverage strong communication skills to provide quality and impactful collateral to support field sales, e-commerce, and retail partners. The marketing intern will learn the strategy in all stages of the pursuit, from the ground up.

Key deliverables at the end of this internship are: A demonstrated understanding of the critical role that marketing plays in the goals and objectives of a business. And a strong understanding of the business including a working knowledge of the cross functional partners involved in bringing a product to market and supporting retailer adoption of products in-store.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

• Collaborating with marketing team on daily tasks to help with priority projects and initiatives.
• Support Flexsteel’s best-in-class customer focus positioning while driving the development of quality marketing collateral and resources for retail and e-commerce partners.
• Transforming narrative and text-content into visual presentations or graphically appealing to tell the necessary story while also ensuring quality, accuracy, readability, etc. to deliver to leadership, sales, or other key partners.
• Project management of various projects in the pipeline, as well as communication of project status’ internally,  with the potential to communicate externally to retailers.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in marketing (must be completed with second year).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
