Job Overview

Job Summary:

Recommend time standards and process improvements.  Assist with the development of methods and casting design.  Implement safety and ergonomic improvements working closely with supervisors.  Analyze, plan, design, construct, and apply tools, methods, and procedures necessary to increase manufacturing productivity. 

Responsibilities:

• Conducts high level observation and analysis of personnel and work procedures to determine time-and-motion requirements. (Time Study)
• Analyzes work study data and equipment specifications to establish time and production standards to be used in costings and labor reporting.
• Recommend changes to Method of Manufacture, MOM, sequence of product as a result of machine changes, design changes, quality enhancement, ergonomic improvement, etc.
• Troubleshoot shop problems associated with new or existing tooling and equipment.
• Review change orders.
• Assist in the training of all production personnel.
• Propose improvements for safety and ergonomics.
• Edit and prove out ISO/EIA CNC programs.
• Maintain the 6S program throughout the shop.
• Conduct and develop set up times with the use of video monitoring.

Education/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) in Industrial Technologies or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
