Eligibility:
- ADN program graduate with contract to complete BSN within 4 years of hire or currently in last semester of BSN program
- Tuition Reimbursement benefit is available for continuing education
- Must complete an employment application and be hired/selected for participation
- $1,000 monthly stipend after date of hire; maximum of 5 months stipend
- MercyOne will reimburse the cost of your initial Board of Nursing exam and licensure fee (receipts documenting payment must be submitted)
Bonus Payment Schedule:
Nursing licensure required within 3 months of degree/education completion
- $5,000 at the completion of 90 days of employment as a registered nurse in the State of Iowa
- $5,000 at the completion of one year of employment as a registered nurse in the State of Iowa
I understand and agree to the following:
- I may be employed by MercyOne as an LPN or CNA and work during the timeframe that I receive the monthly stipend, and such shifts will be paid regular wages and differentials. Further, I understand that if I am already a current MercyOne employee, I must remain in my current role/department, at my current budgeted hours and meet all job requirements.
- If I do not pass my nursing program or Boards, I must repay all stipends received. A grace period for a second attempt (60 days after first boards were taken) will be given.
- As an RN, I will be placed into a high-need area and must maintain a “good-standing” employment status.
- All stipend and bonus payments are taxable as W-2 wages and taxes will be withheld.
- I agree to continue full-time employment for the period of twelve (12) months following each $5,000 bonus received.
- Departure from full-time nursing employment with MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville or Clinton Medical Centers for any reason, including termination, prior to twelve (12) months after receiving each bonus, will require me to repay MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville or Clinton Medical Centers all stipend and bonus monies received at a prorated amount according to a payment schedule established by MercyOne.
