Eligibility:
• Students in last semester of ADN program (must sign contract to complete BSN within 4 years of hire*) or currently enrolled in last semester of BSN program. *Tuition Reimbursement benefit is available for continuing education
➢ Must provide transcripts of current educational status
• Must complete an employment application and be hired/selected for participation
Bonus Payment Schedule:
• $ 1,000 monthly stipend after date of hire; maximum of 5 months stipend
➢ If you opt out of program at any time or do not become employed at MercyOne as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of 12 months, all stipend monies received must be repaid.
• $ 5,000 at the completion of 90 days of employment as a registered nurse in the State of Iowa.
• $ 5,000 at the completion of first year of employment as a registered nurse in the State of Iowa.
➢ 12 months of employment following each payment is required
I understand and agree to the following:
➢ I may be employed by MercyOne as an LPN/CNA and work during the timeframe that I receive the monthly stipend, and such shifts will be paid regular wages and differentials. Further, I understand that if I am already a current MercyOne employee, I must remain in my current role/department, at my current budgeted hours and meet all job requirements.
➢ If I do not pass my nursing program or Boards, I must repay all bonuses received. A grace period for a second attempt (60 days after first boards were taken) will be given.
➢ I will be placed into a high-need area and must maintain a “good-standing” employment status.
➢ All bonus payments are taxable as W-2 wages and taxes will be withheld.
➢ Departure from full-time nursing employment with MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville or Clinton Medical Centers for any reason, including termination, prior to twelve (12) months after receiving each bonus, will require me to repay MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville or Clinton Medical Centers for any monies received as part of the JumpStart program.
➢ This agreement in no way alters the at-will employment relationship with MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville or Clinton Medical Centers.
