Microbiology Lab Technician

Job Overview

• Collect and prepare samples of manufactured product, in-process materials, by-products, and raw materials.
• Conduct microbiological, chemical, and physical tests according to established procedures.
• Analyze finished, semi-finished, and environmental samples as needed.
• Identify and report non-conforming products to quality management.
• Maintain accurate lab reports and enter test data into computer systems.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations, performing routine testing as needed.
• Prepare media and stock solutions for testing.
• Maintain clean, organized lab workspaces and properly care for equipment.
• Calibrate or verify lab equipment where appropriate.
  
  
  

• Required: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a science-related field.

• Day shift position with occasional weekend rotation and overtime required.
