MIG Welder

MIG Welder | Manchester, IA
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm
3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 7:30am
$21+/Hour, Based on Experience
Additional 15% Shift Premium

Responsible for assembling products using hand-held welding and flame-cutting equipment to join metal components following assembly instructions and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and part lists
• Positions parts and assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit
• Corrects welds by chipping and grinding
• Conduct self inspections
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions
• Preventative maintenance on machinery
• Document action items
• Maintain safe and clean work environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year welding experience
• Proven ability to weld using Mig hand-held welder
• Basic understanding of shop math
• Ability to read and understand blue prints and specifications
• Ability to work overtime
• Longevity in prior work history
