Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Molding Mechanic for a manufacturing company in Peosta, IA. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

Previous molding experience is not required. Our client is willing to train the right candidate and is seeking individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a desire to learn. Candidates with manufacturing, maintenance, production, automotive, farm, construction, or other hands-on mechanical experience are encouraged to apply. 

Schedule

• Rotating 12-hour shifts
• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and adjust production equipment to maintain quality and efficiency
• Respond to machine alarms and production issues
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and mold installations
• Conduct quality inspections and documentation
• Assist with material changes and material handling
• Maintain proper production records and reports
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Support continuous production operations and team goals
• Follow all quality, safety, and operating procedures

These duties include troubleshooting molding equipment, performing mold setups and removals, monitoring material usage, conducting quality checks, and operating production systems. 

Qualifications

• Mechanical background or mechanical aptitude preferred
• Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

The employer is primarily seeking candidates who can learn equipment operation, identify production issues, and support efficient manufacturing processes. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
• Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in a production environment and follow safety procedures
