Job Overview

As a National Accounts Gear and Renewable Quotations Specialist you will be responsible for quoting material from plans and specifications on National Account Gear and Renewable construction projects. This may also include building a Bill of Material from a plan/specification reading or working with a customer to suggest products on design-build projects.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Application of knowledge of Schneider Electric and Eaton Product lines and processes

  • Taking a Bill of Material for a construction project and creating a complete and professional quotation using a personal computer.

  • Knowledge of or competency to learn how to complete a renewable solar layout/design along with quoting other renewable products

  • Interact with inside sales, electrical contractors, architects, engineers, and owners to suggest products to be used on all types of construction projects.

  • Take off Bills of Material from plan/specification readings and specifications.

  • Negotiate pricing with manufacturers and customers.

  • Ability to identify alternative products from multiple manufactures to provide creative solutions to end users

  • Collect and analyze quotations data to determine patterns of success or failure.

  • Measure by product type, manufacturer, bid amounts, and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge in Schneider Electric and Eaton Product lines and processes

  • The ability to learn about renewable energy

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Individual must possess strong PC skills and product knowledge.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Two-year trade school or four-year college degree strongly recommended.

  • Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Product and application knowledge as well as an understanding of the bid process.

  • Background in electrical engineering or electrical contracting are very helpful.
