Job Overview

Summary: Implement current Human Resource procedures to serve internal customers and research
options for potential changes to the Human Resource environment. Work closely with all members of HR team
to project a unified, professional, positive, and cohesive unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):
• Work as part of a team to enhance our customer experience with the HR Department
• Provide incoming and outgoing support to employees
• Process all FMLA claims and participate in eligibility determinations
• Ensure all STD claims filing information is shared with employees and interact with insurance company
as needed
• Process all offer letter requests in a timely and accurate fashion
• Process all letters of reprimand and PIP’s in a timely and accurate fashion
• Process unemployment claims coach team members in appropriate methods for hearings
• Assist HR Manager and/or Asst. HR Manager in obtaining statistics and other information relating to
human resources
• Utilize isolved HRIS software and be able to train others in usage
• Assist HR Manager and/or Asst. HR Manager with employee training as needed
• Be knowledgeable in all areas of Human Resources Administration, including Leaves of Absence,
Americans with Disabilities and Unemployment claims.
• Assist HR Manager and/or Asst. HR Manager with HR research projects
• Generate/maintain reports and spreadsheets in an accurate and timely manner
• Scan employee documents into HRIS or other scanning system in a timely manner
• Stay up to date on Local, State, Federal employment laws and bring forward any forthcoming changes to
HR management for discussion
• Collaborate as a team member on wellness program and flu shot clinics as needed
• Participate in process quality improvement activities
• Be skilled in the following areas:
o Ability to promote Professionalism and Pride within the work force at all time
o Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities on short notice
o Ability to carry out McCoy Group policies and understand proper protocol
o Willingness to learn and be able to cross train in various areas of the department
o Communicate and listen effectively
o Ability to maintain clear and accurate records
• Participate in process quality improvement activities and department meetings
• Maintain regular on-site attendance
• Any other job duties as may be delegated by supervisor
Work Environment:
• Indoor/office work environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in a fast-paced indoor environment
• Ability to work under conditions of periodic mental stress
• Ability to concentrate on several issues at the same time
• Ability to problem-solve, interpret data, organize and plan
• Ability to effectively communicate by speaking and writing
• Must be able to make decisions based on logic and company protocol and procedures, including
using chain of command appropriately
• Ability to travel occasionally
Education, Skills & Knowledge Required:
• Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates Degree or higher in business or human resources discipline or 5+ years of experience in
human resources preferred
• Must be organized and possess excellent time management skills
• Must be accurate with information and reporting
• Must be able to follow set processes with no deviation unless prior approval from supervisor
• Must be skilled in customer service relations and act in a professional manner in all facets of
customer service
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Present neat, clean, professional appearance of self and use proper business etiquette
• Must have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
and ability and willingness to gain new software skills
• Must be able to project a positive and upbeat attitude
• Must be a self-starter and driven to find efficiencies in processes to take on more responsibility
• Must possess good analytical and logic skills with close attention to detail
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate and organize.
