Job Summary:
O’Connor & Thomas, P.C. is seeking a personable and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our firm. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while managing front office responsibilities including phone coverage, client interaction, and general administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and conference rooms
- Provide basic and accurate information in person, over the phone, or via email
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries
- Monitor office security and control access at the reception desk
- Maintain and manage legal library subscriptions and related materials
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience operating office equipment (fax machines, printers, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Proactive and resourceful when addressing challenges
Preferred but Not Required:
- Strong phone etiquette
- Clerical experience including data entry and file maintenance
- Prior customer service or administrative support experience
