EARLY CHILDHOOD LEAD COORDINATOR
SALARY: $42K-$45K/YEAR
LOCATION: DUBUQUE, IA
Principle Responsibilities: Early Childhood Lead Classroom Coordinator is expected to work closely with the Director of Early Childhood, Assistant Director of Early Childhood, Lead Classroom Coordinators, Classroom Coordinators, and Early Childhood Teammates on classroom coordination & planning within Early Childhood, and to assist & support with trainings and consulting. This position will report to the Director of Early Childhood.
Principle responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:
Early Childhood Classroom Lead Coordination: Works closely with the Director & Assistant Directors of Early Childhood and Early Childhood Team to coordinate childcare that aligns with the organization's culture and values of excellence, innovation, and wellbeing.
- Classroom coordination and oversight in an assigned Early Childhood room.
- Assist and support the vision and planning for Early Childhood and implementation of onsite laboratory.
- Effective and quality Early Childhood coordination, assuring organizational mission is carried out.
- Implement and model effective policies; including policy documents.
- Lead interactions with Parents & Staff within assigned Early Childhood room.
Early Childhood Planning: Coordinate and lead effective communication processes with partners/parents/teammates, etc.
- Assist with coordination and implementation of Early Childhood events, including but not limited to: Open houses, orientation, parent nights, expos, etc.
- Lead meal preparation and planning within assigned Early Childhood room.
- Coordination & creation of curriculum development and planning, enrichment opportunities.
- Create newsletters to showcase and model children’s needs being met and align with company values, working with Early Childhood Teammates for necessary information and materials.
- Assuring necessary child documents are up to date and accurate.
- Coordinating the purchasing & organizing of necessary supplies.
- Adhere to emergency processes and procedures.
- Meet and adhere to all necessary HHS Requirements.
Internal Training and Consulting: Works closely with the Director & Assistant Directors of Early Childhood and Early Childhood Team to assist and support with necessary training & consulting opportunities that aligns with the organization's culture and values of excellence, innovation, and wellbeing.
- Assist the Director & Assistant Directors of Early Childhood and teammates on any SEL training/consulting opportunities.
- Support sustaining a self-sufficient, competent team driven by our mission and goals.
- Stay abreast of training opportunities that align with vision/culture/best practice on an annual basis.
- Assist and support necessary team meetings and opportunities to represent company.
- Support onboarding of new Early Childhood staff.
Qualifications: Experience in an Early Childhood Education setting. This person must possess organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Must have experience working with students and families and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are required.
