Job Overview
The Communications Specialist is responsible for the delivery of print, digital, and social media content across all communications channels. This role includes writing features, news articles, and social media posts; managing publication and content calendars; and developing and maintaining a cohesive content and design plan.
The specialist collaborates with the Communications team to plan publications and campaigns, ensuring that messaging and the congregation’s voice are aligned across platforms. The Communications Specialist should be passionate about writing, with excellent written and oral communication skills, strong editing and proofreading abilities, creative vision, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple projects while working independently and as part of a team.
This position qualifies for an exceptional benefit package! The ideal candidate will have a BA in journalism, English, communications/public relations, or a related field with 2-3 years of experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of CMS, Adobe Creative Suite, and photography preferred.
