Summary
The Sales Coordinator provides essential support to the sales team, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication between departments, customers, and vendors. This role is responsible for helping to manage project schedules, process orders, prepare sales documents, and assisting in customer service and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the processing of all orders and quotes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with customers, outside sales representatives, and operations team to set up deliveries, and plan for project needs.
- Procure special order products through existing vendor channels.
- Assist with basic customer account maintenance and billing lookup.
- Review monthly reports in order to monitor the team’s progress, identify shortcomings, and propose improvements.
- Provide secondary support to the inside sales team.
- Assist in estimating materials for projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales; experience as a sales coordinator or in other administrative positions will be considered a plus.
- Experience in building materials will be considered a plus.
- Good computer skills (MS Office, Order Management Systems).
- Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
