Job Overview

Dubuque Community YMCA is seeking a Marketing and Fund Development Director to join our highly committed team. Using a solid understanding of marketing, advertising, public relations, special event planning, and fund development, the Marketing and Fund Development Director will assist the Y team with the implementation of marketing communications activities, special events, quality member experiences and annual fund-raising as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business or related field. Fundraising experience a plus.
  2. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
  3. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
  4. Comfortable working with committees, board of directors, and community volunteers.
  5. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve results
  6. Strong human relations and leadership skills
  7. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with design platforms (Adobe Suite, Canva, Publisher), and quickly picks up other data management systems.
  9. Must be able to work effectively with a diversity of people, different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and all ages. Interacts regularly with members, volunteers, staff and other community leaders.
