Job Overview

Iowa County is seeking applications for a full-time Lead Social Worker in the Youth and Family Unit of the Social Services Department. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Youth and Family Unit Manager, to monitor the workload of the unit, support staff as needed, and to meet the goals and standards of the Youth and Family Unit. Essential duties include but are not limited to child protective services, initial assessment, ongoing services, juvenile justice, out of home placements, and other services to children and families. Starting pay is $33.00/hr. and a generous, comprehensive benefit package is provided.

Minimum requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field, with three years of social work practice, preferably in a county social service agency. A current Wisconsin Social Work license is required. Applicants are subject to a criminal background check.
