Opportunities Include:
I. Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be on the front lines, ensuring the seamless operation of our critical machinery and facility systems. This is a hands-on role perfect for individuals who excel at problem-solving and value precision.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of food processing and packaging equipment.
- Work on essential facility systems, including boilers/steam generators and air compressors, to minimize downtime.
- Execute both routine and emergency repairs, and conduct scheduled preventive/predictive maintenance using our Maintenance Management System (MMS).
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to quickly resolve issues.
- Strictly adhere to all food safety regulations and GMPs during maintenance activities to prevent contamination.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and promptly.
- Identify and report potential equipment issues, safety hazards, and improvement opportunities.
- Effectively communicate equipment status to production teams and management.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times.
- Assist with equipment installations, changeovers, and maintaining spare parts inventory.
II. Maintenance Manager
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, efficiency, and development of our maintenance department. This role is ideal for experienced leaders who are self driven, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
- Effectively manage and coordinate the maintenance department's processes, equipment installations, and repair activities.
- Oversee and perform comprehensive preventive/predictive maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities.
- Develop robust maintenance procedures and ensure their timely implementation and completion.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with OEM's, contractors, and other service providers.
- Monitor equipment spare parts inventory and manage procurement to ensure high uptime.
- Oversee departmental expenses and control the maintenance budget.
- Plan, oversee, and participate in all repair, installation, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality Department to uphold the highest standards of food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain meticulous maintenance logs and provide regular reports on activities.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety policies and regulations, including Lock Out/Tag Out and Confined Spaces.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven competence in problem-solving, team building, planning, goal-setting, decision-making, and positive accountability.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Vocational school degree or BS/BA
- Knowledge of boiler systems and water treatment methodologies.
- Experience within the food industry, including familiarity with food safety protocols.
Working conditions:
- Shift based working hours.
- Primarily an indoor work environment with occasional outdoor duties.
- Exposure to hot parts on equipment
- May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and allergens.
- May be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as production equipment.
Physical requirements:
- Able to stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift.
- Occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Able to hear and understand conversations, alarms, and equipment malfunctions.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday (730-1600)
