Universal Tank & Fabrication Inc. is an industry leading manufacturer of pressure vessels and specialized fabrications serving customers throughout North America. We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor in Dubuque, IA. Come join the UTF family and be part of an organization that’s “delivering on our promise of quality”.

Successful candidates must possess the following:

  • Provide ongoing proactive leadership by setting the example for others to follow in all areas including, but not limited to, UTF rules and regulations, manufacturing processes, quality, safety, production, and attendance
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
  • Must equally and equitably distribute the maintenance workload between self and subordinates.
  • Must be able and willing to perform all duties and responsibilities of direct reports.
  • Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
  • Monitor maintenance supply inventory and place orders when necessary. (parts, spares, consumables)
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
  • Provides own tools sufficient to complete the job.
  •  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Expert electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, problem solving, math, and blueprint skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Must possess a valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred but not required) Periodic travel may be required
  • Knowledge in metal fabrication manufacturing preferred
  • Must possess the ability to run manufacturing equipment with a high level of confidence
