Job Overview
Job purpose
Ensure the proper setup, organization and running of production lines. To utilize resources and equipment in the safest and most effective manner based on production schedules to achieve quality and production standards.
Duties and responsibilities
This position is responsible for monitoring and adjusting processing equipment parameters to best ensure manufactured products are meeting customer specifications and internal criteria.
Main Responsibilities:
● Maintain a positive attitude at all times.

● Start up, operate and monitor a continuous production line, adjusting processing parameters as needed to maintain product spec’s, quality and production flow:
- Start-up Steam Generators and Air Compressors
- Verify Water quality during start-up of Steam Generators
- Select Cerex process parameters (recipe)
- Start-up Cerex from cold start
- Verify seed selection and lot numbers
- Collect seed moisture and density
- Load seed for production
● Perform any other activities related to the production and packaging of milled and puffed products.
● Set up and perform product changeovers independently, ensuring the line is ready for new products.
● Maintain and troubleshoot a pre-set production line to keep it running smoothly.
● Perform quality inspections on the product and report/record any deviations.
● Complete production paperwork and provide recommendations for resolving process issues.
● Keep work area clean and organized throughout the shift.
● Assist in monitoring compliance with food safety standards and report concerns.
● Fill, remove, and document WIP supersacks and totes in the big bag stations.
● Operate a forklift and raw seed hoist as needed.
● Adhere to GMPs, health, and safety guidelines as outlined in quality and food safety procedures.
● Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Possess acceptable reading and writing skills to effectively communicate and process written instructions.
● Possess basic mathematical skills with the ability to inspect, validate and confirm all counts and calculations within processing instructions and batch.
● High School Diploma or GED
● Able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Working conditions:
● Shift based working hours.
● Exposure to hot parts on equipment.
● Indoor working conditions.
● May be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as production equipment.
● May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and allergens.
Physical requirements:
● Able to stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift.
● Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
● Able to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, reaching, and twisting.
Schedule:
- 12 hour shifts
- 2:45 PM to 3:15 AM
- Monday - Wednesday, occasional Thursdays.
MANDATORY TRAINING:
1st/Day Shift (2:45 AM to 3:15 PM) Mandatory Training will be required for the first 3 months (approximately). Once training is complete, position will move permanently to 2nd or evening/night shift, as indicated in schedule above.
