Welding Inspector

Job Overview

Specialized Recruiting Group of Dubuque looking for a skilled Welding Inspector! In this role, you’ll inspect and test welded joints, ensure quality standards are met, and perform welding duties when needed. This is a hands-on position where attention to detail and commitment to safety are key.

What You’ll Do:

• Inspect and test welds for defects, strength, penetration, and conformance to specs/blueprints.
• Perform weld testing, stress testing, and first article inspections.
• Ensure cleaning, prepping, and painting meet quality standards.
• Support and mentor welders, ensuring adherence to proper techniques and procedures.
• Maintain and apply welding certifications (AWS, CWB, etc.).
• Record inspection data and communicate findings with leadership.
• Operate welding equipment and hand/power tools as needed.
• Promote a safe, clean, and team-oriented work environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current welding certifications: AWS D1.1, CWB S-Class, AWS-TKY, CWB Supervisor W47.1.
• Strong knowledge of welding principles, inspection processes, and blueprint reading.
• Experience with inspection tools and welding equipment.
• Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and a true team player.
• Ability to maintain high-quality standards under time constraints.
