Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):
- Oversee the daily marketing workflow for the department or business units assigned.
- Develop branding and marketing campaigns for the department or assigned business units.
- Gathers and analyzes information on the efficacy of marketing campaigns aimed at enhancing brand awareness, lead generation, expanding into new markets and customer segments, and increasing demand for products and services, as well as the effectiveness of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Schedule marketing tasks, assign projects, manage the branding guidelines and approve all work completed in the business units assigned.
- Provide creative and art direction for the department or business units assigned.
- Conducts market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sales and profitability of products in their assigned dealership business units.
- Maintains knowledge of marketing and customer trends and developments in the market; identifies needs for branding, new products, and services, and makes recommendations to leadership.
- Composes, develops, evaluates, and conducts training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.
- Maintains a high level of creativity and demonstrates the ability to “think outside of the box”.
- Must be a motivated self-starter who is able to handle pressure and a fast-paced environment.
- Plan and execute meetings for internal and external (customer) specific in-person events (i.e. tradeshows, golf outings, grand openings, etc.)
- Maintain regular onsite attendance (Dubuque, IA) as scheduled.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
- Willing to travel 25%
Education, Skills and Knowledge required:
- Four-year college degree in marketing, public relations, business, or other related fields.
- Able and willing to learn transportation/trucking/forestry industry products and services.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible working on multiple projects.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, employees, administrators, and the public.
- Knowledge of applications of: Mac software, Adobe Creative Suite software, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Pro and proficient with other applications such as iMovie, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge of the internet, website design, and e-mail marketing.
