We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to be based in our Dubuque, IA location.
What you will be doing:
The EHS Manager will develop and implement health and safety plans in line with legal guidelines and enforce policies that promote a culture of safety.
Collaborating with supervisors, you will foster a "Safety First" mindset by encouraging best practices, providing training, leading health and safety
meetings, and conducting root cause analyses to address and correct safety issues.
• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and
company standards.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and other safety concerns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records and reports related to workplace injuries, incidents, and safety inspections.
• Develop and conduct health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety regulations.
• Lead regular health and safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety awareness and best practices.
• Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize risks and prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases.
• Collaborate with operations personnel to implement safety measures and controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously improve the health and safety program.
What you bring:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field experience.
• Minimum of 2-years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in an industrial construction environment.
• BCSP certifications or similar certifications are strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
• Proficiency with ISNetworld and DISA.
• Ability to influence and drive a culture of safety across the organization.
• Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
