Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and ensure efficient stock control processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Track and manage physical inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and physical inventory checks.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Update inventory databases (ERP/WMS systems) with accurate stock information.
- Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to manage stock movements.
- Maintain organized and safe storage of inventory items.
- Verify and complete daily production work ticket transactions
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Proficiency in inventory software and systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good math and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move items, and work in a warehouse setting if required.
- Experience with barcode scanners and inventory tracking tools.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices (FIFO, LIFO, cycle counting).
- Forklift certification.
- Familiarity with Lean or 5S principles is a plus.
- Combination of office and warehouse environment.
- Standing, lifting, or moving inventory items may be required.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be necessary during inventory counts or peak periods.
