Job Overview

This course is a hands-on introduction to the materials, tools, and techniques used in modern cabinet making and trim carpentry. Students learn tool safety, basic joinery, CNC basics, and finishing methods while designing and building a custom wood project. The course blends classroom instruction with paid lab hours and emphasizes craftsmanship, problem-solving, and real-world job readiness.

Training for this course takes place at the Four Mounds Foundation on Peru Road in Dubuque.
