Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Operations Manager to join our team in a flexible full-time or part-time role (20–40 hours per week, with opportunities for growth as our organization expands). This pivotal position offers the chance to make a lasting impact by overseeing the seamless operation of our recovery housing and support programs, ensuring exceptional service delivery and a nurturing environment for clients and staff. Whether you prefer the flexibility of part-time hours or the deeper engagement of a full-time commitment, this role allows you to align your passion for addiction recovery with your lifestyle, while contributing to our mission-driven work. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of recovery housing and support programs to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Manage facility maintenance, safety, and compliance with Iowa state regulations for recovery housing
  • Monitor operational budgets, ensuring effective resource use and financial sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and HIPAA regulations, including licensing and safety standards
  • Monitor program performance metrics (e.g., client satisfaction, housing occupancy) and propose improvements
  • Respond to operational challenges or emergencies with timely solutions
  • Promote an inclusive, recovery-focused environment with cultural sensitivity

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in operations management, ideally in nonprofit, social services, or recovery-focused settings
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Iowa’s recovery housing and social service regulations
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance for occasional transport needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
