What YouΓÇÖll Do & Learn:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic intern to join our team in a dual role, gaining exposure to both Human Resources and Fulfillment Operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to understand the intricacies of managing a full-service fulfillment facility while also participating in the hiring and onboarding processes for our temporary workforce. YouΓÇÖll be responsible for the following tasks:
Human Resources:
ΓÇó Interviewing candidates, hiring, and orientating new employees to meet temporary hiring goals.
ΓÇó Performing reference and background checks on applicants as needed.
ΓÇó Processing necessary paperwork related to hiring.
ΓÇó Conducting temporary employee surveys.
ΓÇó Updating and entering drug screening information into our computer system.
ΓÇó Supporting the Human Resource Manager with special projects and tasks as assigned.
Fulfillment Operations:
ΓÇó Working with Supervisors and Managers to coordinate and direct the receiving, movement, production, and shipping of products and gifts.
ΓÇó Meeting daily production needs throughout the facility.
ΓÇó Coordinating daily warehouse functions with Supervisors.
ΓÇó Assisting in training temporary warehouse employees.
ΓÇó Analyzing and/or developing new warehouse functions.
ΓÇó Reviewing and updating procedures pertaining to the production operations environment.
ΓÇó Communicating work-in-progress status to other Supervisors throughout the shift.
Qualifications
This role requires highly driven individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of giving clear and concise instructions, and effectively handling difficult situations with empathy and diplomacy. Ideally, you will be working towards a Bachelor' or Associate Degree in Supply Chain Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration/Management, Human Resources, or related majors. In addition, we are looking for:
ΓÇó Junior or Senior standing, recent graduates may be considered
ΓÇó A cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher
ΓÇó Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
ΓÇó Effective presentation skills
ΓÇó Ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary
ΓÇó Knowledge of supervisory procedures and concepts
ΓÇó Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred (bilingual interns are eligible for a $500 bonus at the completion of their internship!)
This position is not eligible for remote work and would require you to work onsite in Monroe, WI for the duration of your internship.
