Job Overview

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a well-established, privately held construction and services organization with operations across multiple states.

Position Overview

The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative functions of the company. This role offers the opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership, enhance systems and processes, and support ongoing organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to ownership and leadership.
• Oversee job costing, payroll, and project-based accounting.
• Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, and service providers.
• Supervise and develop accounting and finance team members.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 8–10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Experience within the construction, contracting, or project-based service industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and strategically within a hands-on environment.
